voice of rationality (aka the dark side) vs the slurs of emotion (aka the inner voice)

It is hard to believe there can be someone who could truly be evil or dark. At a very personal level I believe its rationality in its pure form which can have tendencies to be dark. Perhaps not even fully dark in itself, but in comparison to emotional voice it certainly is more dark. Just like there are moment when one can book emotionally overwhelmed, there also tend to be moments when rationality over power all other aspects. Pure reason can be a dangerous thing and moments like these can provide a glimpse into an emotionless existence.
